We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Maintenance Supervisor – Electrical.

Location: Plaquemines Parish/Belle Chasse - Point of Reference: 19000 LA-23, Pointe Celeste, 70083

General Description:

The Maintenance Electrical Supervisor reports to the Maintenance Director and leads the safe, efficient, and effective execution of all electrical maintenance work at Venture Global Plaquemines Liquefied Natural Gas facility. The Maintenance Electrical Supervisor is responsible for working with other Supervisors, Managers and Directors within the Operations & Maintenance departments.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensures maintenance electrical work is executed within Venture Global LNG’s HSSE processes, procedures, standards, and regulations.
  2. Ensures direct reports adhere to VGIMS (Venture Global Integrity Management System), Maintenance Manual and Work Management process and procedures.
  3. Functions as Maintenance SME (Subject Matter Expert).
  4. Provides technical support to problem solving activities and ensures maintenance and reliability issues are identified and corrective measures are implemented.
  5. Manages, supervises, and assigns work activities, ensures direct reports understand work scope, required procedures and potential safety, health, and environmental work hazards.
  6. Review permits to work under area of responsibility (ePTW as applicable). Ensure permits are prepared and submitted to Operations well in advance before execution.
  7. Key participant in maintenance processes such as daily work progress updates, maintenance work planning/schedule review meetings, backlog review meetings, among other meetings.
  8. Manage and approve direct reports timecards according to Venture Global LNG’s Policies and Procedures.
  9. Supports and develops direct reports through competency assessments and skills development training.
  10. Monitor direct reports individual performances. Provide mentoring and conduct annual performance reviews.
  11. Monitor contractor work execution, time sheets approval and safe work completion, according to Contractor Management procedure. Report contractor work quality/non-compliances issues to Planning/Contract teams.
  12. Identify and order required special and routine tools/equipment/PPE for the safe execution of maintenance activities under his/her area of responsibility.
  13. Support development of technical specifications for maintenance contract services.
  14. Participate in and /or lead Ready for Operations (RFO) maintenance projects to develop required maintenance systems, process, and procedures before commercial operations.
  15. Assist with the pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and initial operation of the Facility. This will include being a vital member of the integrated commissioning / start-up team(s) with the EPC contractor.
  16. Participate in various reviews during the Engineering and Design Phases, such as HAZOPs, 3D models and P&ID reviews.

Qualifications:

Education and Certifications:

    • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; Technical degree in Electrical, or nationally recognized standard, NCCER is preferred.

 Experience:

    • Minimum Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of maintenance work experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, or petrochemical facilities.
    • At least three (3) years must be at a supervisory level.
    • Strong knowledge of electrical industrial standards and regulations (i.e., NETA, NFPA 70E / 70B).
    • Knowledge of Power Generation and Distribution.
    • Applied knowledge of electrical and controls such as medium and low-voltage generators, motors, switchgear, motor control centers, Variable Speed Drives (VFD and VSDS) , circuit breakers, protective and network relaying, fuses, cabling, power, current instrument and transformers, Lighting, HVAC, AC Inverters and DC Chargers, batteries Control Systems etc.
    • Applied knowledge of electrical and controls such as medium and low-voltage generators, motors, switchgear, motor control centers, Variable Speed Drives (VFD and VSDS) , circuit breakers, protective and network relaying, fuses, cabling, power, current instrument and transformers, Lighting, HVAC, AC Inverters and DC Chargers, batteries Control Systems etc.
    • Management/Supervision of small/medium scale electrical projects.

  8. Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access, Project, and PowerPoint.
  9. Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.
