Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are currently looking or a qualified Piping and Layout Engineer with a focus on layout development, knowledge of LNG facility design and applicability of US codes specific to LNG facilities in the US. This position will require solid experience in 3D model development experience and lead development of 3d model and plot plan development. 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure design work conforms to applicable specifications, codes and standards.
  • Ensure checking procedures are adhered to before issue of drawings and documents, to ensure no rework due to errors in design.
  • Prepare engineering drawings and documentation
  • Promote interdisciplinary communications on projects.
  • Ensure project scope, budgets and schedules for design and drafting work are effectively communicated and met on projects
  • Control the allocation of drafting work to junior designers in the project group
  • Continuous monitoring of the Contractor’s performance and compliance project technical requirements.
  • Ensures that design document reviews are completed accurately and within the required timeframe. This may include undertaking checking activities.
  • Call for support from other engineering disciplines when multi-discipline technical issues arise.
  • Responsible for maintaining technical integrity of the engineering & design for their particular engineering discipline
  • Participate in key design review and ensure design review readiness
  • Monitors changes against baseline scope

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical engineering 
  • Minimum 15 years of piping design experience using 2D/3D software. Good knowledge of Piping design of LNG projects.
  • Able to produce plot plan, equipment layouts, piping general arrangement, isometrics and MTO.
  • Good knowledge of greenfield projects.
  • Good knowledge of pipe supporting
  • Must have E3D Modelling experience
  • Proficient in E3D, AUTOCAD, MICROSTATION , MICROSOFT, LASER SCAN  
  • Work as part of a multi-discipline team
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work autonomously
  • Plant Layout and Piping Design experience within an EPC environment
