Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

The Senior Cost Analyst will report to the Pipeline Project Controls Manager. This position will be located in the Houston, TX office.

The role provides a comprehensive cost and control function for the assigned areas of various pipeline projects, may include budget control, change management, VOWD calculations, commitment tracking, cost forecasting, cash and accrual management, reporting, along with invoice attesting and processing. The role will oversee, facilitate, and ensure performance of responsibilities in accordance with Company and Project Guidelines and Procedures.

Accountabilities:

  • Demonstrate visible leadership and commitment to SAFETY performance
  • Manage the attesting and approval for payment of all invoices submitted for payment
  • Participate in Change Management program to identify areas of risk exposure
  • Review contractor cost reports, cashflow and recommend corrective action where necessary
  • Support the mitigation of project challenges through creative and innovating problem solving
  • Assist in development of Estimate at Complete values for cost accounts
  • Oversee effective project reporting, monitoring and evaluation including regular project progress and performance reporting.
  • Contribute to effective and efficient project controls oversight of projects
  • Report on project status, performance, constraints and issues to Senior and Executive Management

Career Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business or a related field
  • 8-10 years of relevant cost experience in major Oil & Gas Engineering and Construction projects
  • Experience with Pipeline projects preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites and iOS, Ecosys, PowerBI and other Project Controls tools
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and work within project deadlines and adjust as priority changes occur
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to efficiently summarize and prioritize information
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
