Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s three Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.
The Power Project Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
Background and working experience with electrical power distributions systems and power generation systems
Core competencies include equipment selection, heat and mass balance calculations, hydraulic system, development of process and instrumentation diagrams, pipe stress design, etc.
Able to read detailed construction drawings and specifications detailing the system design
Support projects through construction, including shop drawing reviews, responding to RFI's and performing site observation
Support senior engineer and/or senior designer in coordinating work efforts with multi-disciplined engineering and CADD teams to ensure quality control
Coordinate work efforts with multi-disciplined engineering and interoffice teams
Review drawings supplied by vendors, EPC Contractors, and engineers and architects and recommending necessary changes
Research code issues and obtain necessary approvals with subject matter experts and discipline leads.
Research design options and document findings for Project Engineers and/or Project Managers
Attend kick-off and review meetings while interacting with EPC Contractors.

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
Minimum of 10 years design experience is required
Must exhibit a strong desire to take ownership of deliverables and have good presentation skills
Experience with steam plant equipment such as boilers, deaerators, make-up water and blow-down systems, etc
Experience with cogeneration equipment including reciprocating engine generators, combustion turbine generators, heat recovery steam generators or steam turbine generators
Experience with Institute emission control systems
