Vendia is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to leverage their expert knowledge of web and client technologies to deliver critical features across Vendia’s multi-cloud, distributed data platform.

This role partners closely with our Product, Design and Marketing teams, where you’ll own creating and implementing an immersive experience for Vendia’s customers. You should possess a strong customer-centric, product-oriented background, as well as deep knowledge of web technologies and frameworks, as well as GraphQL. As an early member of the team, you’ll also help recruit, mentor, and scale the team and team processes.

We are a virtual company seeking employees who can operate within +/- 5 hours of the US Pacific Time Zone.

As a Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing, implementing, deploying and supporting web applications, crafting accessible, reusable components with consistent design patterns
  • Advocating for best engineering practices, including automation, CI/CD workflows, security, performance and more
  • Collaborating with Product, Design and Marketing Teams to define customer and support personas, spanning first visitor to the engineering developer experience
  • Partnering with leadership to create engineering roadmaps that balance new features with rapid customer growth and engineering excellence

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience as a Frontend, WebDev Engineer or similar role, with demonstrated knowledge of major front-end components libraries (e.g. HTML/CSS, JavaScript, React, etc)
  • Experience with industry best practices: test automation, CI/CD, OpEx, etc
  • Ability to plan projects, communicate status and deliver high quality results
  • B.S./B.A. degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills

 

Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience at a startup or similar fast-paced environment delivering B2B application or infrastructure services, and/or enterprise SaaS offerings.
  • A design background and/or strong interest in design and UX
  • Past contributions to open source projects
  • Willingness to engage in public speaking or customer demonstrations and training
