What will you be doing?

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance in order to deliver exceptional experiences and outcomes.  You will also be expected to:

  • Recruiting, hiring and training coordination for all departments
  • Manage and coordinate the benefits administration
  • Manage employee relations
  • Assists department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for employees
  • Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies.
  • Acts as an employee relations specialist.
  • Distributes and monitors performance reviews
  • Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans. Reviews benefits with employees and processes enrollment, cancellation or changes. Organizes and manages annual open enrollment communications and election process. Maintains and distributes list of new and cancelled employees under each benefit plan.
  • Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs
  • Manages recruitment and the interview process
  • Manages HRIS system for employees
  • Manages new employee orientation, administers pre-employment tests, conducts reference checks
  • Manages employee records maintenance and filing
  • Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary action
  • Performs onboarding and offboarding interviews
  • Assists in organizational training and development efforts
  • Manages events
  • Represents and communicates Velocity's corporate culture, code of business ethics, and value proposition

Education, Experience and Knowledge

Required Education

  • 4-year college degree; Degree or Certification in HR or Business related preferred

Required Experience and Knowledge

  • 3+ years in HR function, 5+ years at a global company preferred
  • Computer literate; MS office suite, experience with complex ERP systems preferred.  
  • Experience with Greenhouse, Namely and TalentLMS software preferred
