About the team
At VEED, the newly-formed AI Infrastructure Team stands at the frontier of innovation. With the ambitious goal to revolutionize video editing and content creation through AI, our team is committed to developing and integrating state-of-the-art machine learning technologies. As we embark on this journey, our focus spans from exploring novel ML methods in video processing, to enhancing user interactions with AI Avatars and real-time video manipulation like lip syncing. This pioneering team not only aims to build the foundations of VEED’s AI capabilities but also to set the company on a path towards becoming a leader in the AI-driven video editing space. Our mission is clear: To harness the power of AI to craft intuitive, innovative tools that empower our users to create, share, and engage with video content in ways previously unimaginable. About the role
As VEED’s pioneering Research Engineer in the AI Infrastructure Team, you will be instrumental in exploring and innovating within the video editing and processing domain. Your role entails driving the exploration and adoption of cutting-edge ML techniques, conducting research, and prototyping models to enhance product features or efficiency. Collaborating closely with our Product team, you'll provide deep insights into potential use cases, advising on strategic decisions whether to build in-house capabilities or seek external solutions, all aimed at solidifying VEED's leadership in video editing technology.
What you will do
- Innovate and Drive Research: As the inaugural member of the AI-focused research initiative within our dedicated AI team, you’ll establish the roadmap for integrating advanced AI into VEED’s product line, leading research projects that put us at the forefront of video editing technology.
- Research and Development: Utilize your expertise in AI to perform pioneering research, enriching our products with new capabilities and ensuring we remain competitive.
- Solution Architecture: Architect and iterate on the design of scalable AI solutions that respond to customer needs and market trends, maintaining our innovative edge.
- Collaborative Integration: Cultivate strong connections across research, engineering, and business units, fostering a culture of rapid development and integration of research insights.
- Mentorship and Growth: Foster an environment of learning and innovation, sharing knowledge and guiding future team members to achieve excellence.
About you
- You possess a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, focusing significantly on AI and Machine Learning.
- You bring 3-5 years of experience in research or product development, ideally within the startup ecosystem.
- Your leadership skills are proven, with a knack for kickstarting projects and inspiring innovation.
- Proficient in Python and experienced with AI frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow. Familiarity with CNNs, GANs, Diffusion models, NeRF models, and key computer vision concepts is a strong advantage.
- An agile learner, you're able to swiftly adapt to new technologies and methods, addressing challenges creatively.
- Your communication skills allow you to articulate complex ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, uniting varied perspectives under a cohesive strategy.
- A true self-starter, able to take initiative and work creatively to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
