About the role:
You will be responsible for accurate recording of accounting information, and recommending sustainable process improvements. You will also have frequent interaction, and work collaboratively with functional teams across the company to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
What you'll do:
- Day-to-day financial operations, including account reconciliation
- Management accounting for VEED Group, consolidating USD and GBP entity
- Payroll management and postings
- Managing external accountants in two locations for statutory filings
- Balance sheet management and monthly reconciliations
- Cashflow management including month-end bank reconciliation process for all company accounts and ensuring bank accounts are funded for monthly requirements and cash efficiency is maintained
- Building internal controls for expense management and cost control
- Collating internal financial information for external stakeholders
- Key contact on yearly financial audit, ensuring compliance across the business.
- Creating relevant process changes from audit findings
- Global tax compliance and statutory filings for payroll, reporting and tax
- Financial planning
- Take ownership of ad-hoc projects as required
What we're looking for:
- Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA), ideally from Big 4
- Experience within a finance function outside of an accounting firm
- SaaS industry experience essential
- Working knowledge of Xero (accounting software) would be a great advantage
- Highly analytical mindset and strong attention to detail
- Resourceful and innovative with a "can-do" creative attitude
- A collaborative spirit with excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Great work ethic and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing startup environment
