The PITCH

We’re looking for an experienced Country Manager with experience leading a portfolio of clients & experience in managing a country, a keen understanding and love of social media and exceptional client services skills to drive growth and integration across our core markets You must LOVE all things social, especially TikTok, already on multiple platforms and be passionate about the role social can play in building brands and connecting to audiences in an authentic way. This is an always on role that moves daily and will put you at the epicenter of culture.

Our teams are lean, and you will need to dip down to support the team when needed, but at the same time be able to delegate, making sure the day to day is being run smoothly and efficiently in order to deliver insights-driven work on a daily basis. You will be passionate about the work you do, about the agency you represent and in doing so will be at the forefront of strengthening client & partner agency relationships both here in Mexico and across LatAm.

Deliver best-in-class client services while running the daily grind of a country manager, lead client partnership & possess social media expertise in Mexico – setting the ways of working and driving how the team innovate and operate, as we grow into new markets, establishing and strengthening the role the brands you will lead, can play in people’s lives. You will build valuable long term client relationships working with senior clients who understand the broader strategic opportunities of an audience lead, digital first approach and the role it can play in driving business results.  You will focus on the strategic direction of the accounts and drive innovation and the Vayner way through everything you do.

The Brief

The Role TL;DR:

  • Set the local vision and strategy, and build the VaynerMedia business in Mexico.
  • Hire and lead a world-class team of modern marketing practitioners.
  • Take VaynerMedia products and principles to market, and drive product excellence
  • Manage the Mexico P&L, and ensure operational excellence through close collaboration with regional leadership.
  • Drive new business from local clients, plus expansion of international VM business into Mexico.
  • Own c-suite level client relationships and growth
  • Support education of local clients, and our own teams, to aid product success.

The task at hand

Business Oversight and Growth :

  • Responsible for VaynerMedia business operations and growth in Mexico.
  • Own the VMMX P&L, accountable for revenue and profit targets, managing monthly, quarterly and annual business analysis, budgeting and reforecasting, and supporting VMLatAm auditing and compliance requirements.
  • Directly manage front-office operations, and collaborating closely with regional operations leads to maintain and develop all necessary systems, policies and procedures to ensure back-office operational excellence.
  • Establish & convert a diverse new business pipeline for creative and media opportunities.
  • Build trusted-partner relationships at the c-suite level within our clients’ organizations. Deliver strategic advice to CMOs, derived from industry insights and category expertise. Understand their business challenges and individual market conditions, and evolve our organizational remit and capabilities to deliver against business results.
  • Identify entry points into new categories and markets, and establish clear strategies to take advantage of these opportunities to drive growth for VM Mexico.
  • Ensure the local organization is well structured, well trained, and well utilized, overseeing hiring processes and responsibly managing agency resources.

Strategy & Communication

  • Outline a clear vision / mission for VM Mexico, with identified business priorities and a roadmap for growth to deliver against long and short term goals.
  • Communicate directly into the Regional MD, maintaining clear and open lines to provide market insights, identify opportunities, and manage risks within the Mexico market.
  • Drive the go-to-market roadmap in Mexico, to operationalise VaynerMedia products in market.
  • Make and communicate clear decisions that are in the best interests of the company, both now and in the future.
  • Set and measure clear,  meaningful, and consistent KPIs across the VM Mexico team.
  • Collaborate closely with specialist leaders (Creative, Media, Strategy, Production, Platforms etc..) to improve quality of client deliverables, process, and overall output of the agency.
  • Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are clearly communicated and adhered to.

  • Build a cohesive and high-performing team, that is both innovative and accountable, and acts with empathy
  • Embody the VM cultural values and consistently exhibit them through your behavior.
  • Inspire, motivate and mentor the entire VM Mexico team, driving a commitment to VM cultural values, and best-in-class social & digital marketing across creative & media disciplines.
  • Drive the career growth of your team, overseeing local L&D programs and talent development paths to ensure we are building future VM leaders from within the team.
  • Build a pipeline of top talent across the Mexico market to enable future growth.
