Senior Manager, Communications

Summary:

The Senior Manager of Communications will be key in building and maintaining a positive public image for our teledriving driving technology startup. They will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies that engage our target audiences, including the media, investors, employees, and the general public. The ideal candidate will be a skilled storyteller who can translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic internal and external communication plans that align with the company's business goals and enhance its reputation in the market.
• Craft clear, consistent, and compelling messaging articulating the company's vision, mission, and unique value proposition in the autonomous driving space.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive insights, and market dynamics to identify proactive and reactive communications opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, engineering, legal, and investor relations, to ensure accurate and timely communication of company initiatives.
• Manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and provide strategic counsel to executive leadership on crisis communication and issues management.
• Measure and analyse the effectiveness of communication campaigns and adjust strategies as needed to maximise impact.
• Strong social media literacy, especially LinkedIn.

Qualifications

• Strong English speaking and writing skills.
• Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
• Minimum eight years of experience in communications, public relations, or marketing.
• Proven track record of successfully developing and executing strategic communication.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong media relations and pitching skills.
• Proficiency in content creation and management.
• Crisis communication and issues management experience.
• Strong project management skills and prioritize tasks effectively.
