About This Role

The Equipment and Facilities Manager is responsible for and supervises the maintenance, care, and efficient operation of all equipment and facilities used by the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage building infrastructure systems and related assets
  • Oversees the daily workflow, scheduling, and assignments of the equipment and facilities department.
  • Develop strategy and implement a preventative and corrective maintenance and inspection programs
  • Inspects and performs maintenance on assigned equipment and facilities.
  • Ensures assigned facilities and equipment are ready for regular business and special events.
  • Maintains files of warranties, records, licenses, inspections, service agreements, and contracts for various pieces of equipment.
  • Maintains the inventory, storage, and distribution of equipment.
  • Provides recommendations for purchases of new equipment.
  • Collaborates with other appropriate management staff to prepare and implement budget.
  • Present monthly maintenance reports and KPIs to Operations Leadership
  • Respond to facility operation emergencies [power outage, thermal event, alarm activation, etc] and perform root cause analyses.
  • Provide campus wide reporting on departmental spend, ticketing, and other metrics as requested
  • Create request for payments and assists the buyers with vendor selection
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • HVAC Certificate and LEED Green Certificate

Preferred Skills And Experience

  • Experience with facilities within an aerospace industry
  • Experience with permitting processes with various municipalities
  • Ability to understand written directions in manuals and on manufacturer websites
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Comfortable working in a high-stress environment balancing several projects at any given time, and the flexibility to adjust for abrupt changes in strategic directions

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facilities.
  • Must be able to access all parts of the company equipment.

  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
