  • Learn how to design, build, test, and fly spacecraft including satellites and atmospheric reentry vehicles
  • Full ownership of the corporate accounting including enterprise software and asset handling
  • Ability to grow and develop with the vehicle and the company as we build Varda together

Required Skills

  • Prepare journal entries, account analysis, and reporting for each close period
  • Assist in review of fixed asset accounts to ensure proper account coding and compliance with capitalization policy
  • Analyze financial data and research variances
  • Research technical accounting issues as requested
  • Respond to requests from internal departments and external sources such as auditors
  • Perform bi-weekly payroll processing
  • Process and match invoices to purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies
  • Provide support to the department by processing expense reports, maintaining Excel reports, importing and exporting databases and files, and printing, organizing, and mailing checks
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies

Basic Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of the U.S. to conform with U.s Government space technology export regulations under ITAR
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or business
  • 1+ years of professional experience in general accounting (internship experience qualifies)
  • Experience with Excel and MS Dynamics 365 or other ERP accounting systems
  • Experience with SQL
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Preferred: CPA license (or equivalent)
