ACCOUNT MANAGER

We're seeking a seasoned sales and business development professional who shares our passion for innovation and can match our relentless pursuit of excellence in emerging technologies.

As an integral member of our team, you'll excel in navigating complex corporate structures and engaging with decision-makers across matrixed organizations. Your primary focus will be on identifying and seizing opportunities in both CapEx and OpEx spend, effectively closing sales on individual project opportunities.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, acting not only as a player/coach internally but also as a strategic partner to our clients. Your deep understanding of their businesses will facilitate the seamless delivery of projects, systems, and compliance assurance, driving volume, speed, and certainty in our solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the life sciences industry, its current trends, and future directions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in life sciences software, from the shop floor to the ERP layer, alongside Valspec's service offerings and success stories.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with key suppliers and evaluate opportunities for collaboration.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends to anticipate shifts in client needs and adapt Valspec's approach accordingly.
  • Orchestrate the entire sales process, from lead identification to close, collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships, leveraging your expertise to add value and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to develop high-quality proposals that meet client needs and expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of business development experience, preferably in engaging middle and upper-level managers within manufacturing, laboratory, and IT organizations.
  • Proven track record of success in sales/business development within the life sciences industry, with expertise in software, equipment, or services solutions.
  • Familiarity with resource-based/staff augmentation solutions and capital project offerings preferred.
  • Strong facilitation skills and the ability to influence decision-making processes effectively.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills tailored to engage sophisticated clientele.
