Role Summary

Vacation® Inc. is looking for an experienced Senior FP&A Analyst who can bring strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to the Finance and Accounting team. As an FP&A Analyst, you will support the company’s month-end close process, forecasting, and budgeting, channel reporting, analysis of unit economics and business performance by category and sales channel, as well as any ad hoc requests as needed. 

The ideal candidate will be highly analytical with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data into concise, actionable insights. They should also have a strong working knowledge of accounting policies and procedures and a history of collaborating across teams. This role reports directly to the Controller. This will be a “hands-on” role with an opportunity to make a significant impact on a rapidly growing company. 

At Vacation® Inc You Will.....

  • Partner closely with Accounting, Sales, and Operations team leads in the month-end close process to ensure an accurate reflection of revenue and costs; providing P&L variance analysis versus prior periods/forecasts/budgets, and sharing actionable insights with leadership 
  • Create reports, models, and ad hoc analysis to help management evaluate the impact of decisions on short and long term plans, including pricing strategies, new lines of business, and investor materials
  • Work cross-functionally to drive process improvement and automation
  • Create, maintain and review detailed financial models in Excel
  • Develop competitive benchmarking analysis on our P&L and other key metrics
  • Develop models to analyze and monitor unit economics across multiple product categories and sales channels, including variance reporting 
  • Track and analyze retailer chargebacks; supporting in both the ROI analysis and the dispute process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree; finance, accounting or economics strongly preferred 
  • Minimum 4-7 years of FP&A experience 
  • CPG experience; personal care or beauty industry preferred
  • Obsessed with data and using the numbers to help drive decision making
  • Extremely detail-oriented, with meticulous organizational and time management skills; must be a self starter
  • Extensive experience with cash flow management, cost accounting, and sales analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of Excel, Quickbooks, Microsoft Business Intelligence, and other data visualization tools
  • Working knowledge of Cin7/DEAR
  • Ability to work in a task-based environment
  • Comfortable working remotely utilizing shared documents, Zoom, Slack, Asana, G-Suite, and other tools to stay connected and work as a team
