The Role

A Growth Lead at ustwo is accountable for growing new business relationships into new accounts with day-to-day responsibilities across the new business funnel: from pipeline expansion (lead-generation, networking, nurturing) to converting (qualifying, introductory meetings, crafting briefs, RFP responses and proposal management). 

You’ll be managed and supported by the Growth Partner. You’ll work closely with an experienced business development team supported by Client Partners (those contributing to winning new business, but most focused on client services and account growth) and in partnership with Marketing to ensure success across the new business funnel, across our Malmö and London studios.

You’ll also engage closely with the product, design, technology teams across ustwo in order to craft well-considered responses to the needs of the brands, businesses, and product teams we engage with. 

For this role we are looking for someone who lives somewhere in the Öreseund region, within commuting distance from Malmö. We have a hybrid setup, so partially working from home is possible, however studio presence is expected at least a couple of days per week. 


Responsibilities

  • The Growth Lead is responsible for converting new business. This will be accomplished through effective qualification of inbound leads, compelling introductory meetings supported by creds and case studies, RFP responses, and proposal management. You will work closely with discipline leads to qualify, craft, and respond.
  • The Growth Lead is responsible for generating new business leads and nurturing existing leads. You’ll be adept at lead-generation via in-person and online channels, building meaningful relationships and crafting opportunities. You’ll nurture new relationships, and those already in our pipeline, through regular and relevant communication; leading and at times managing the cadence of comms with the business and leadership team. 
  • The Growth Lead understands market trends and advises client & studio leadership on strategies. They partner closely with clients to understand the client objectives in order to drive them forward and deliver value.
  • The Growth Lead should proactively build a profile for ustwo in the marketplace by forging introductions to prospective clients, attending networking events and creating and leveraging opportunities to build awareness of ustwo.

Team contribution

  • The Growth Lead is a critical member of the BD team (alongside Client Partners and Marketing)  and should strive to collaborate, share knowledge and contribute to the success of the wider team. 
  • The Growth Lead should engage the studios in understanding what brands and industries excite them, and educate them as to how they can support business growth at ustwo.
  • The Growth Lead is on the path to financial acumen, and understands the commercial impact of new business to the studio profitability and stability. They should meaningfully contribute to forecasting as part of the wider team.

Person specification

  • You will have a strong foundation built through formal education or work experience. Business development and/or client services experience in digital, consulting or marcomm agencies will be prioritised. 
  • You are organised and have strong project management skills, you are able to manage multiple stakeholders at different levels and projects. 
  • You have experience using CRM systems (Pipedrive, Salesforce) and a strong desire to build on your technology skills. 
  • You are financially literate and able to navigate spreadsheets and pricing tools. 
  • You will have experience with presentation tools like Google Docs and Slides, Keynote.
  • You have an understanding and appreciation for design, product development and technology is important.  
  • You will have a love of seeking out new relationships and new business opportunities and a demonstrated ability to convert these leads into billable work.
  • You have interpersonal skills – you’re comfortable meeting and working alongside technical directors, salespeople, designers, and CEOs alike.
  • You have a desire to be part of a growing and collaborative team.
