As Design Lead at ustwo, you’ll take a leading role in engaging clients, users and stakeholders in designing new customer centric propositions. You’re able to adapt your style; to facilitate, motivate, coach and direct where necessary to ensure the team delivers the right insights and recommendations.

This particular project requires someone with strong research, ideation and strategic skills who will feel confident articulating findings to senior stakeholders, in both written deliverables and workshops.

  • Facilitate and lead workshops, research and testing sessions with stakeholders.
  • Leverage user research, insights and analytics to identify user needs, wants and behaviours and design requirements.
  • Create concept sketches, user flow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed interaction specifications as and when appropriate.
  • Understand and where appropriate challenge business requirements to champion user needs in accordance with product and market strategy.
  • Through a solid design process navigate through uncertainty and lead a product team.
  • Estimate time and delivery of the project design components with the project team.
  • Choose suitable tools and methodologies to achieve the project goals in order to minimise waste and champion an agile way of working.
  • Understand and where appropriate challenge business requirements to champion user needs in accordance with product and market strategy.
  • Maintain awareness and mitigation of project risk.
  • Communicate design specifications with other team members; validate and monitor quality output.
  • Clearly present various stages of interface design development, concepts and ideas to business owners, team members and stakeholders of all levels.



  • Design Skills
    • You have a core strength in leading an end-to-end product and service design and UX process.
    • Professional knowledge of user-centred design, usability principles, techniques and methodologies and can lead/mentor others through this.
    • Fluent in best practices for device-based information architecture and interaction design.
    • Experienced at visualising and prototyping concepts to varying levels of fidelity to demonstrate and validate ideas


  • Manage Senior Stakeholders. Able to navigate clients and stakeholders them through the design process.
  • Highly Collaborative. Able to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams of designers, developers and product managers using Agile and Lean principles.
  • Passionate about innovating through design. Bringing original thinking, strong design practice and advocating for the user.
  • Think holistically about the big picture when designing a product, whilst being detail oriented and delivery focused.
  • A clear communicator. Capable conveying ideas and break down concepts clearly to a diverse range of stakeholders (verbally and written).
  • Open to sharing. Whether that be your thoughts, ideas and work in-progress.
  • Resilient. Can remain calm and focused under pressure and work in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
  • Able to travel. Infrequently and close to London.
