The Porter handles a variety of tasks simultaneously, while also delivering a high level of customer service. This role is responsible for the daily up-keep of all public spaces within the interior and exterior of the building and not limited to the following areas: grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing and management offices and residential apartments. This is a temp position.
Tentative schedule: Thursday- Monday 9am-5:30pm
Responsibilities
- Greet residents in a cheerful and welcoming manner.
- Ensure cleanliness of all areas of the building, including but not limited to:
- sweep, vacuum, + mop lobby, entrances, and hallways
- wipe interior + exterior glass doors, windows, windowsills, and doors
- clean barbeque grills as needed
- spot clean carpets as needed
- dust offices, light fixtures, and common space millwork
- removal of trash/cardboard & comingles in refuse rooms
- cleaning/Disinfecting of refuse/compactor rooms
- polish elevator walls
- disinfect public lavatories + restock toiletry as needed
- dog park station as needed
- gym/fitness rooms to be kept sanitized and dust free - Garbage to be staged as per property directive to dedicated area to be picked up as per local municipality ordinance.
- Clean empty apartments following move outs as needed.
- Lift and move equipment and furniture as requested.
- Snow removal as needed.
Attributes
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 30lbs .
- 0-1 year experience in housekeeping, janitorial or related professional area.
- Ability to communicate verbally clearly and pleasantly with tenants, management and co-workers.
- Strong time management skills, attention to detail and thoroughness.
