THE ROLE


Based in our London office, the Event & Marketing Manager will play an integral role in shaping and executing the marketing strategy for Airship, with a strong focus on Event management for the whole region.

Reporting to our Paris-based EMEA Marketing Director, you will join an EMEA Marketing team of 3 people and will own Event management, PR and Sales Enablement for the whole EMEA region (UK, France, Germany, Nordics, Southern Europe, Middle-East…). 

Among your responsibilities, you will be in charge of planning, promoting, and executing the highest quality of events with a goal of driving qualified leads in the sales pipeline, while making sure that our sales teams are well-resourced, prepared, with the content, training, and knowledge of available assets to maximize event impacts and actively work and close deals. 

You will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of your actions for your region as well as making recommendations for improvements.

Finally, in coordination with the Global Director for Corporate Communications, you will be in charge of the Press Relationship for the EMEA region, with a goal to enhance press coverage, brand awareness and sustain market leadership recognition.

As a fully integrated EMEA Marketing team member, you will be in touch on a daily basis with the Regional and Global marketing teams and contribute to EMEA-wide Marketing initiatives including, but not limited to content creation and marketing, content localization, email marketing campaigns, lead gen and website updates.

This essential role at Airship will require regular travels (at least fornightly) to the different european offices (Paris and Munich).

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Overall

  • Contribute to the Marketing Plan design for the EMEA region.
  • Help build the Budget and optimise ROI
  • Measure the results of regional actions and improve them

Events (trade shows and own events)

 

  • Research and select industry trade shows and events for the whole of EMEA and to support our sales efforts in our key regions (UK, France, Germany, Southern Europe, Middle-East…).
  • Secure the appropriate sponsorship level based on our objectives.
  • Research and negotiate with the most exceptional european venues to host our owned Airship Forum events in the UK, France, Germany and more.
  • Design the event presence and overarching strategy to drive the most outcome from it.
  • Identify and contact potential customer guest speakers from leading brands to participate in our own events to share inspiring case studies on stage, and work with them to craft their presentation decks, or act as a support team member to guide them and help them craft their content.
  • Ensure event logistics, services & shipping are handled on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate all stakeholders before and during events.
  • Plan and execute your marketing and communication plan in collaboration with our EMEA Digital Marketing Manager (marketing emails, website updates, social posts…) to ensure that they are all a success in terms of sign ups, attendance, satisfaction, sales opportunities created, etc.
  • Work with our graphic design team on all required assets: booth designs, roll-ups, brochures, flyers, ads, website illustrations, email signatures, etc.
  • Plan dinners and other programs that support our attendance at key events.
  • Provide prior brief and on-site support for all of our staff members.
  • Perform post-event interviews with staff after and analyse events’ success.
  • Keep an eye open on event marketing best practices, approaches, innovations and technologies to be shared with key stakeholders across the company.

Sales Enablement

  • Provide our sales teams with the information, content, tools and processes they need to succeed at all stages of the sale.
  • Partner with and enable sales and Sales Development teams to drive on-site meetings and outcomes for events, tradeshows and webinars.
  • Track and enhance the follow-up of events and marketing campaigns by the Sales teams.
  • Act as the main Marketing point of contact for our EMEA sales team.

PR

  • Provide our sales teams with the information, content, tools and processes they need to succeed at all stages of the sale.
  • Partner with and enable sales and Sales Development teams to drive on-site meetings and outcomes for events, tradeshows and webinars.
  • Track and enhance the follow-up of events and marketing campaigns by the Sales teams.
  • Act as the main Marketing point of contact for our EMEA sales team.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • 4+ years of experience as a B2B Marketing Manager, preferably for a SaaS / marketing technology company.
  • Strong experience in organizing B2B events, both trade shows and owned events.
  • Strong project management skills and strengths in managing multiple projects/deadlines; ability to set priorities and be flexible in changing environments.
  • Strong experience in partnering with Direct Sales organisations (sales representatives for large companies…), customer success teams and partners.
  • Good understanding of B2B marketing to drive customer acquisition and demand generation.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Marketo, Google Analytics and other martech tools.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative work style.
  • You are autonomous, curious, proactive, enthusiastic, creative, meticulous, a self-learner, and capable of working with remote colleagues.
  • Perfect english mandatory. All other languages skills (preferably french, german, italian, spanish,) would be greatly appreciated. 
  • Experience working in a pan-european team is a plus.
