Role Mission:What is the purpose and mission of this role; how does it relate to the mission of the department and company.
Researching potential products from existing or new vendors, ordering product samples, and conducting product testing with the operations team.
Contributing to product photoshoots by coordinating product samples and assisting in product styling.
Developing and maintaining internal product guides complete with floral and non-floral product specs, product cost and pricing information, and other key details used by the operations, supply chain, and marketing teams.
Monitoring product performance and helping the product development director in compiling sales and product quality data for internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Supporting the product development director to project manage and streamline communication for product launches internally with the Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, Development teams.
Assisting with vendor communication on product issues, product inquiries, and product changes.
Becoming an expert on the products we offer to provide clarification to operations and the customer care team on product quality, care and handling instructions, and provide guidance on approved substitutions in floral products & plants.
1-2 years of work experience in an office setting. Experience in buying, merchandising, product development and/or ecommerce preferred
Strong desire and willingness to learn about floral and plant products. You don’t need to be able to name every flower or plant out on arrival but you will be expected to learn.
Self-starter who is not shy about offering ideas or solutions
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Great communication skills

Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Willingness to lead projects and also take on administrative duties with gusto
