unybrands was founded in 2020 by a group of partners who shared a common vision to create the leading next-generation e-commerce platform for micro-brands. unybrands acquires e-commerce brands that operate on and off Amazon. unybrands integrates the brands into its platform, optimizes the business operations and economics, and expands to new product lines and geographies. You will work across the brands owned by unybrands globally but focus on overall brand voice and style and consistency across all platforms. You will help shape stories across various ecommerce marketplaces to elevate our brands, inspire consumers to purchase our products and establish each brand as a leader in their space.  The main content areas of focus are:  

  • Collaborate with the creative, marketing, brand, and strategy teams to identify tone of voice, brand message and mission statements  
  • Continuous review of on-line copy to ensure maximizing brand impact and sales opportunities 
  • Product descriptions for both Amazon and DTC, ensuring information is accurate, informative, and consistent across the site including brand descriptions, category headers, and key features
  • Regularly contribute to creative work, including writing marketing campaign slogans and promotional text as well as some blog and brand content. 
  • Collaborate with the creative team to write scripts and briefs for video production.
  • Manage the copy team; communicate and uphold best practices and expectations; and communicate project status to the team directors.  

The ideal candidate is an autonomous self-starter who demonstrates attention to detail and quality and has a passion for creative content creation and the ecommerce space.  Additionally, you should be fluent in English and one other language.

Responsibilities include – but are not limited to:  

  • You’ll maximize the value and reach of our content by turning high-performing assets into a library of derivative pieces for use in multiple channels 
  • You’ll collaborate closely with the broader Ecommerce and Marketing teams to map and optimize content across the buyer journey to drive acquisition and leads 
  • You’ll ensure created content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice. Be a steward of best practices in messaging, grammar, writing, and style 
  • You’ll work with internal teams to identify key opportunities, launches, trends and data, and develop content relevant for the customer
  • You’ll write and edit content to assure our brand voice is consistent across all languages.   

A successful team member will have:  

  • 4-5+ years of experience in copywriting, preferably in a consumer product setting 
  • Experience with copywriting and a flair for words 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work quickly and efficiently with a strong eye for detail and catching errors
  • Possess an excellent editorial understanding and visual awareness
  • A thinker and a doer mindset-excited about driving strategy while simultaneously rolling up your sleeves to write and edit content in a variety of formats
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Creative messaging skills based on value, use cases, and customer outcomes
  • Proven ability to deliver results and prioritize tasks in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
