Job Title: Principal Sales Engineer

About the Role:  Unite Us is seeking an experienced Principal Sales Engineer to provide technical expertise throughout the sales process. The Principal Sales Engineer will work with Sales and prospects to understand complex customer requirements and enterprise environments, develop a solution architecture of best-fit Unite Us products, and engage with key business and IT stakeholders. The ideal candidate is someone who is a technology expert, and can make data, integration and analytics discussions accessible in the context of the health, human services, and social care domains. 

What You'll Do:

  • Become an expert in the capabilities of Unite Us Platform, Payments and Analytics solutions.  Use this expert knowledge to design value-based solutions applicable to the customer’s environment, responding to questions and objections in sales discussions as well as in formal written proposals.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations explaining the details of Unite Us software capabilities, integration capabilities, data insights, implementation approaches, and more - for both business and IT stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with executives and stakeholders to create trust and accelerate sales opportunities 
  • Collaborate on complex solutions with product and delivery teams to design integrated project delivery roadmaps that align internal and external stakeholder expectations and value
  • Provide compelling written responses that highlight solution differentiation in formal government procurements.  Experience architecting cohesive, compelling solutions in multi-vendor partnerships. 
  • Mentor members of the Sales Engineering team in complex systems exploration and architecture, and domain expertise. 

You’re a great fit for this role if:

  • 7-10  years of experience working on technology products in a presales, technology consulting, engineering, product, or an equivalent role
  • Experience working in sales engineering, technical consulting, or delivery, to Healthcare Payers, Providers or State Government (HHS) agencies is preferred.
  • Background in computer science, engineering and/or product ownership with demonstrated technical experience 
  • US State and Local Government, Healthcare Payer or Provider industry experience preferred
  • A clear record of success in sales engineering or delivery activities, for example; ability and experience in translating client issues into effective and successful client solutions; ability to facilitate fact-finding and active problem solving workshops; and ability to present crisply and articulate client-focused outcomes on your feet 
  • Demonstrated domain expertise in integration/interoperability, advanced analytics, data warehousing or revenue cycle management, payments and program integrity
  • Desire to focus on the win-win, creating a shared vision, in-person with the client, or from your home, and acting as an strategic resource to sales directors to successfully accelerate opportunities to close
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills, can tell a good story, and you’re comfortable engaging with technical, business and executive audiences. You can prepare and deliver compelling presentations, and you can sense when to ditch the script and engage with people rather than slides

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • This position is remote, U.S. based
  • The target pay range for this role is: $165,000-$185,000 This salary range represents our national target range for this role. Some geographic areas may have higher target ranges.
  • This position may require 20% travel 
  • All team members will be required to pass a background check which includes criminal, employment, and education verification
