THE ROLE
We are looking to recruit a Graduate Instrumentation Design Engineer within our Cork and Dublin offices. These roles provide an opportunity to develop and expand your engineering skills as part of a multi-discipline, highly experienced design team. This will be part of our two-year graduate programme.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be involved in the design of instrumentation packages for New-Build and Refurbishment Projects primarily for the Bio-Pharmaceutical Process Industry.
- Working with Process and Building Services Engineering P&IDs.
- Generating Instrument Data Sheets.
- Compiling Instrument Data Base.
- Developing Instrument Index.
- Developing Instrument I/O Lists.
- Developing Instrument Cable Schedules.
- Coordinating with the Automation Design Engineers
- Developing Instrument Layout and Installation Detail Drawings.
- Generating Receipt Verification (RV) Sheets.
- Generating Field Installation Verification (FIV) Sheets.
- Liaising with Instrument Manufacturers in the Specification and Purchase of Instruments.
- Liaising with Client Engineering and Maintenance Teams as part of the design process.
As part of the role, the Graduate Engineer will have the opportunity to attend meetings with the Client to define project requirements, with Equipment Manufacturers and Suppliers to agree on project specifications and with Contractors to provide Construction and Commissioning Support.
The Graduate Engineer will follow projects from design through construction to commissioning and completion.
THE REQUIREMENTS
The individual we are seeking will possess the following:
- Third-level degree in Applied Physics and Instrumentation.
- Proactive and a good communicator with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy.
