ROLE

Due to continued growth and expansion we are seeking to hire a Senior Quantity Surveyor. This position will be based in the company’s offices in Mahon, Cork. The successful candidate will have full autonomy to lead, grow and develop the role. This position will play a key role in the Company's expansion and growth. This role will report directly to the Project Controls Manager.


RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Preparing of cost estimates throughout the various stages of the design and pretender
  • Preparing budget estimates and cost / value reconciliation reports accurately
  • Assist in establishing client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies of design options and additional items
  • Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks
  • Contract administration of various forms of Works Contracts
  • Interim Valuations
  • Preparation and Agreement of Final Accounts
  • Cost reporting
  • Variation monitoring
  • Preparation and analysing tender costings
  • Attend site / client / design meetings
  • Liaising with site management team
  • Liaising with various design disciplines to achieve deliverables

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Degree/Higher Diploma in Engineering or associated area.
  • 6+ years’ experience in general project planning and control experience
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Chartered status desirable but not essential
  • Experience of working in professional service company
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a project from conception to final account agreement
  • Strong word and excel skills is required
  • Experience of MS Project or Primivera is desirable
