ROLE

BPE are recruiting for a CSA Lead to join our on-site project team. This role will work closely with Senior Project Manager and Construction Manager on site.This is for a €30-40M retrofit project on a live pharma manufacturing site in Kinsale, Cork. BPE has delivered on the design of the facility and will be supporting our client through the construction phase with our onsite delivery support. As a BPE site representative, you will have the support of our wider team and resources to ensure project success onsite. This is a 12-month contract, hourly rate, and opportunity to deliver to one of our key clients, BPE has additional opportunities on other projects post contract. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaise and manage stakeholders, external clients and 3rd parties
  • Mentor and manage junior engineers
  • Provide civil, structural engineering technical services and solutions from concept through to detailed design, delivering robust designs for buildings, foundations, access platforms, piperacks as well as equipment support structures and foundations
  • Must be able to plan, organise and implement concurrent tasks and projects
  • Ensuring Health & Safety standards are maintained
  • Overseeing that quality throughout the project delivery is maintained
  • Manage and co-ordinate relevant civil/structural engineering and associated disciplines' activities required to successfully deliver projects to approved scope, budget and programme including the management of civil/structural works contracts
  • Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Level 8 Civil /Structural Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification. Chartered status an advantage
  • 8+ years' relevant experience
  • Strong technical capability, in civil and structural engineering design and competence to deliver civil/structural engineering packages
  • Experience in Planning, Fire Engineering, DAC, BCAR
  • A strong commercial and project management awareness
  • Strong capability in assessing, communicating and managing project critical technical issues
  • Record of successful completion of design and construction projects
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities across projects
  • Experience in performing PSDP/PD role on projects
  • Experience in lifescience projects an advantage
