As a Copywriter, you’ll join the Design department and be the first member of our Copywriting team to help establish, grow, and maintain the early version of our brand language guide! You will report to our VP of Design and work cross-functionally with the Underdog team to centralize the language across multiple channels.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive the creation of original concepts that result in effective and compelling communication
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Creative teams to ensure a consistent voice is deployed across all Underdog channels 
  • Proofread and edit all written content to ensure materials are error free, polished and carry Underdog’s tone and voice
  • Work to receive Legal/Compliance feedback in a timely fashion when needed
  • Maintain the copywriting roadmap and communicate with stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met for various products 
  • Create written content for a wide variety of channels including, but not limited to, web pages, paid social channels, in-app communication, error messages, social posts, email campaigns, marketing campaigns, takeover experiences, commercial scripts, and more

Who you are:

  • A curious and proactive problem solver who can articulate creative concepts to cross-functional teams
  • Ability to write clear, concise and compelling copy that supports brand and marketing goals
  • A desire to be a part of a small team and begin at the ground level 
  • A process oriented individual that can establish, document and articulate how to keep the Underdog voice consistent

Even better if you have…

  • At least 2 years of in house copywriting experience, preferably in a creative setting 
  • Experience working in Figma or Notion
