ULTRA MOBILE is seeking a talented Senior Analyst, FP&A to join the Strategy & Analysis Team! Individual reports to Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis. Role is hybrid.
This role is a hybrid opportunity that requires a local commutable distance to the HQ Costa Mesa, CA office as needed.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The FP&A Senior Analyst is part of our Strategy & Analysis Department, reporting to our Manager of FP&A. In Ultra’s world of Finance, this position will be managing a variety of financial reporting related tasks.
Your usual day of awesomeness includes:
- Supports the monthly FP&A reporting process primarily undertaking analysis around top to bottom P&L statement, EBITDA, subscriber metrics, brand & product mix, existing base vs new customer additions, and survivability & churn metrics.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams across multiple business units to support the financial and company wide metrics reporting package designated to senior leadership for overall support/direction with business and company wide initiatives.
- Leads financial channel reporting and profitability analysis and maintains and enhances channel reporting model.
- Maintains and enhances coding related to Snowflake-based FP&A database and creates automated financial reporting via python and SQL.
- Contributes to the monthly forecast process and ongoing budgeting process.
- Ad hoc analysis including but not limited to business case analysis for new products/business lines, variance analysis, risks & opportunities, and capex.
- Typical business hours will be Monday-Friday 8am-5pm PST and in office as needed.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required.
- Minimum 3 years of FP&A experience in progressive finance roles and demonstrates experience in financial forecasting, modeling, monthly reporting, and financial analysis supporting P&L, business performance and EBITDA.
- Advanced Excel skills, can work with large data sets, create automation and graphic reporting.
- Experience with coding software tools such as SQL, Snowflake, Jupyter, and Python preferred.
- Must be detailed and accurate with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Experience with large-scale ERP software preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Great attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines.
- High aptitude and proven ability to drive assigned responsibilities to their successful conclusion with minimal supervision.

In support of the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the range of starting pay for this role is $100,000 - $120,000.
