Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is managing order to cash process for this rapidly growing organization.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has the ability to execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic, evolving accounting environment. Candidate should remain open to new projects and/or responsibilities as the business evolves.

Work Model: 

Flex: This role will typically require onsite work 2-3 days each week, or more depending on business needs. In many locations, the business will set certain days each week that Flex employees are required to be onsite.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the revenue recognition process in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606) to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Coordinate the implementation of new launches (Regions/Products) as they interface with AR
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis related to revenue streams, identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Manage a team of revenue accountants, providing guidance and support in executing revenue recognition processes.
  • Continuously work to identify and implement areas of improvement, automate workflows, developing processes and documentation for how to achieve these.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports, focusing on revenue-related disclosures
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies related to revenue recognition.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including finance, commercial, and various business owners on a variety of project.
  • Interface with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations related to revenue recognition.
  • Review customer contracts and agreements to assess the appropriate revenue recognition treatment.
  • Review and assess revenue recognition implications of licensing agreements, collaboration agreements, and partnerships within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Review and analyze gross to net reserves.
  • Ensure compliance with government pricing regulations and programs, such as Medicaid Best Price, 340B, Federal Supply Schedule (FSS), and other state and federal pricing initiatives.
  • Analyze sales and pricing data to calculate and report government pricing metrics accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirement.
  • Lead critical accounting projects, including the implementation of new system logics or enhancements and new revenue standards.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports, focusing on revenue-related disclosures.

Requirements:

  • At least seven years of experience in revenue accounting, with a strong understanding of revenue recognition principles, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to guide and develop the revenue accounting team.
  • Previous experience working with a Big 4 accounting firm.
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint & Word
  • Ability to analyse data and identify significant trends
  • Ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure

The typical annual salary range for this full-time position is listed below. This range reflects the characteristics of the job, such as required skills and qualifications and is based on the office location noted in this job posting. The range may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.


This position is eligible for annual bonus and equity incentives. Actual individual pay is determined by demonstrated experience and internal equity alignment.

Pay Range

$161,400 - $199,400 USD
