We are looking for a highly motivated Systems Manufacturing Technician to join our team!
This is an exciting opening for a technician who wants to be part of a team that makes the world a better place.
This opportunity is a 3-month contracting position with a Monday-Friday schedule.
How You’ll Contribute
- Assemble and integrate sub-assemblies into top level assembly of instruments
- Quickly establish understanding of the instrument hardware at the subsystem level, the module-to-module interactions, and the general usage of the instrument
- Perform automation, subsystem, and acceptance testing on instruments
- Kick off test scripts and instrument runs as needed
- Utilize internal software to track build progress and system testing
- Document and collect data and information for device history record, system bring-up, cycle time tracking, deviations, and material transfers
- Perform installation, testing, analysis, and run checklists
- Redline work instructions for assembly, manufacturing system integration, automated testing, and troubleshooting
- Work in conjunction with Quality team to support shipping preparation process
- Other job duties as assigned
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- 2+ years of relevant experience is required. Associate’s degree in Engineering or Physics is preferred
- Competency in reading schematics and drawings such as PDM viewer and PDF prints
- Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- Knowledge and ability to use hand and electrical tools: calipers, torque tools, drivers, wrenches, ratchets, wire crimpers, wire strippers, multimeters and voltage detectors
- Capability to multitask and communicate with multiple teams, including but not limited to design, systems engineering, manufacturing engineering and chemistry
- Knowledge of 5S and safety best practices are preferred
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in English
- Meticulous and detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Great attitude and willingness to learn and flexibility to move between different tasks and to work in a fast-paced environment
