Opportunity
We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our team to level-up our business intelligence capabilities. You will lead the implementation of our enterprise data warehouse, providing key guidance to our Master Data Management plan and coach team members to realize their potential. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills with the ability to solve and explain complex business problems to a technical audience, a demonstrated record of improving the processes and people around them and a passion for products on the bleeding-edge of technology. Responsibilities
- Provide input to our development teams when designing our data warehouse logical and physical schema models
- Support the implementation of the data warehouse model designs in dbt
- Implement our billing service
- Provide subject matter expertise in our data stack (GCP, BigQuery, dbt, Looker)
- Define and drive strong engineering practices and champion a software development mindset within the team
- Participate and share your ideas in technical design and architecture discussions
- Develop your craft and build your expertise in data and analytics systems
- Conduct deep dive analysis to uncover key insights, recommendations, and opportunities
- Develop comprehensive reporting to support the tracking of product based KPIs
- Champion the cause of data literacy.
Requirements
- Enthusiasm for data and analytics!
- Ability to write production-quality SQL and python
- Mentor and develop team members
- Strong data modeling fundamentals including experience with dimensional modeling, 3NF, star and snowflake schemas, etc., and strong application knowledge concepts like normalization, referential integrity, data domains, etc.
- Experience building and maintaining conceptual, logical and physical data models for reporting and analytics use cases.
- Experience with analytics platforms and methodologies (data lake, data warehouse, data marts, ETL, data modeling, data governance, etc.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment and maintain composure and tact in high-pressure situations
- Passion for providing services and experiences that exceed expectations
- Experience with telephony, CRM, or WFM software and customer support technology desired but not mandatory
- Call center or supply chain experience desired but not mandatory
