About this role

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Principal Product Manager to lead our badging and digital credential initiatives, contributing to the growth and success of both our Udemy Business and consumer marketplace.

What you'll be doing

  • Strategic Leadership: Craft and execute a comprehensive product strategy, roadmap, and vision for badging and digital credential experiences across Udemy platforms.
  • User-Centric Design: Deeply empathize with learners, understanding their needs and employing AI technologies to enhance learner outcomes and experiences.
  • Problem-Solving Excellence: Utilize first principles thinking to dissect complex challenges, innovatively applying AI to resolve organizational issues.
  • Digital Credential Strategy Development: Formulate and implement distinct digital credential strategies for the Udemy Marketplace, Udemy Business, and Udemy Partners.
  • Business Outcome Articulation: Clearly define and measure the business outcomes for your product portfolio.
  • Data-Driven Development: Lead the creation of skill development and validation features, leveraging data insights and market trends.

What you’ll have

  • Experience: At least 10 years in product management, with a minimum of 5 years in marketplace/ecommerce roles.
  • Track Record: Proven ability to launch and scale innovative products, demonstrating expertise in both initiating new products and enhancing mature ones.
  • Clarity & Ambiguity Management: Exceptional ability in driving clarity and making progress in ambiguous situations.
  • Process & Flexibility: Strong skills in implementing effective processes in fast-paced environments while allowing for flexibility and rapid iterations.
  • Communication & Leadership: A thought leader with outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging with senior leadership, customers, and the broader market.
