As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the core of Udacity. The student experience is where students come to learn the skills needed to succeed in our fast paced world. You’ll manage a team of talented software engineers, all of whom are passionate about education and are experienced up and down the tech stack. Successful managers will be able to lead a team by setting technical direction and by fostering a creative environment allowing for novel solutions to difficult problems.

Qualifications:
- Passionate about education
- 5 years relevant work experience including 3 years leading a team that delivered on customer needs
- Experience building reliable, maintainable, and scalable systems and products
- Experience with large scale distributed systems in a public cloud
- Expertise with front ends, data layers, and protocols
- Thrive in a polyglot development environment
