About the Role

The Managing Director, DACH  is an organized, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking person and thought leader with a self-starter mentality that thrives in an ambiguous environment. You’re not afraid to go deep and look at organizational, creator, and territory challenges as opportunities. You’re a natural problem-solver and collaborator with a passion for creators. You will be empowered to optimize, and implement organization and content strategies, educate & champion content trends, alongside overseeing, creating, and putting learnings into practice. You will be leading a team of high-performing content employees ranging from people managers to associate personnel. You have the ability to clearly articulate and translate business expectations and goals to direct reports, cross-functional stakeholders, and executives across the Twitch business.

You will report to the Director of Partnerships, EMEA and work with regional and global teams to ensure delivery against our priorities. For EU commerce activities, you will be accountable to the Twitch Commerce Organization in the US and will have responsibility for Twitch’s e-commerce activities in the EU including, approving localized pricing, promotion campaigns and more.

You Will:

Partnerships

  • Manage and oversee Twitch’s content and creator business in DACH (Germany, Australia, Switzerland) and German-speaking streamers globally.
  • Implement long-term territory organization, content and creator strategies in DACH, under the direction of Twitch leadership, with the intent to increase creator service levels, satisfaction, and income.
  • Lead and implement cross-functional programs and initiatives related to creators in DACH and German-speaking streamers globally.
  • Lead team(s) of high-performing Strategic Partner Manager personnel.

Commerce

  • Responsible for commerce activity in the EU including strategy, planning and approval of local initiatives in collaboration and with ultimate accountability to the Twitch Commerce Organisation in the US.
  • Own relevant EU Commerce P&L’s with support from the EMEA executive team, Global Commerce Teams in the US, and relevant corporate functions.
  • Track, report, and present relevant performance-related metrics, learnings, programs, and territory progress to senior and executive leadership in EMEA and Global Commerce in the US.
  • Collaborate with Global Commerce stakeholders, to approve, validate and deep-dive into commerce-related activities, such as (but not limited to) local pricing, payment methods, promotions and partnerships in the EU.
  • Provide timely market conditions and metrics including customers and streamers feedback to our UX experience and products on the Twitch community platform.
  • Collaborate with local finance and strategy teams to perform FX related analysis.

You Have:

  • Experience in leading international teams with a focus on setting and exceeding personal, team, and organizational goals
  • Eagerness to dive into details, find creative solutions, and take responsibility for projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior and executive stakeholders internally and externally
  • Ability to manage and complete multiple projects and priorities at the same time within a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to effectively work independently and autonomously in an environment with high levels of ambiguity
  • Ability to thoughtfully escalate problem areas in advance.
  • Ability to accurately estimate time to produce results and effectively hold others accountable to dependencies.
  • Ability to prioritize based on the needs of the business and stakeholders
  • Ability to make cultural changes to drive mature managerial processes
  • Be a tireless advocate of the needs of our customers - both our creators and users
