About the Role

The Global Infrastructure (GI) Team at Twitch is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager. You will be directly involved in planning and driving execution of projects and major initiatives that use technology to create an amazing live streaming experience. You’ll be organizing, driving and tracking projects such as Infrastructure and Operations tools and automation development, network backbone circuit growth, space & power contract status, hardware evaluation projects, Data center and PoP builds as well as many other infrastructure-related items. 

The right candidate will have a program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading simultaneous medium to large projects, and will have a diverse technical background in current hardware engineering, software, network, data center disciplines. This means you can identify business and operational needs, develop a vision for addressing, communicate and gain management support, and then develop and drive the resulting projects, where needed also dig in, and take ownership for roadmaps, deadlines and dates and features, performance and functionality of the resulting processes.

You Will:

  • Work with engineering, infrastructure and operations leadership and software development managers to identify gaps and solutions
  • Initiate, manage and release Agile software development projects
  • Create planning and execution of major and minor hardware engineering, infrastructure and data center projects
  • Help plan and coordinate major maintenance 
  • Create weekly, monthly and other reports as requested 
  • Support other Global Infrastructure TPMs 
  • Develop and document processes 
  • Be the source of truth and best practices
  • Coordinate customers/stakeholders across Twitch and Amazon on hardware engineering roadmaps and projects

You Have:

  • Enable data-driven approach and a willingness to experiment to decide
  • 7+ years of experience in technical program management, or similar technical leadership role
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Knowledge or experience in Network Engineering or DataCenter Operations
  • Ability to manage a high volume of tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently
  • Effective skill at planning and executing projects to completion
  • Enable data-driven approach and a willingness to experiment to decide
