Job Summary 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Business Intelligence and Analytics to lead our data-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in leveraging tools like Power BI, specifically focusing on datasets and dataflows, along with proficiency in managing and analyzing large datasets. Additionally, familiarity with AWS Glue DataBrew for data engineering tasks is recommended for this role. The Manager of Business Intelligence and Analytics will play a pivotal role in driving actionable insights and strategic decisions through data analysis and visualization.

Responsibilities 

  1. Develop and implement strategies for optimizing data collection, storage, and analysis processes.
  2. Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Power BI datasets and dataflows to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and accessibility.
  3. Utilize Power BI to create insightful and interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  4. Manage and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
  6. Drive the adoption of best practices for data governance, quality assurance, and data security.
  7. Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members on data analysis techniques and best practices.
  8. Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in business intelligence, analytics, and data engineering technologies.

Requirements 

  1. Bachelor's or master’s degree
  2. 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on business intelligence, analytics, and data engineering.
  3. Proficiency in Power BI, including experience with datasets, dataflows, DAX expressions, and Power Query.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
  5. Experience working with large datasets and implementing efficient data processing pipelines.
  6. Solid understanding of database concepts, SQL, and data warehousing principles.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  8. Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading data-driven initiatives.

Preferred 

  1. Certifications in Power Apps, PowerBI or AWS would be a plus.
  2. Hands-on experience with AWS Glue DataBrew or similar data engineering tools for data preparation and transformation.
  3. Knowledge of machine learning concepts and techniques for predictive analytics.
  4. Proficiency in programming language such as Python, C++, or Java
  5. Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
  6. Experience working on projects in specific domains such as payments, e-commerce, or member management provides valuable domain expertise and context for developing solutions tailored to real-world needs
