JOB SUMMARY

As a key contributor in the exciting role of Software Engineer, you'll report to the Technical Lead, Software Engineering. Your mission involves spearheading the development and support of applications, leveraging your expertise and comprehensive knowledge across multiple systems and customer domains to contribute to the creation of a robust, scalable, and reliable platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Executing coding/configuration, testing, implementation, and documentation for developed solutions, incorporating design specifications.
  • Conducting applications programming activities, encompassing coding, testing, debugging, documentation, maintenance, and modification of applications programs.
  • Articulating the technical vision for features/initiatives and taking ownership of their delivery through high-quality development.
  • Utilizing modern cloud-first technologies to establish efficient and high-performing processes.
  • Collaborating effectively and exerting influence on peers and senior leadership within the organization.
  • Proficiency in extracting, analyzing, and reporting data with keen attention to detail in identifying data relationships, trends, and anomalies.
  • Strategically considering the long-term impacts of key design decisions and adeptly managing failure scenarios.
  • Staying informed about industry trends and evaluating the relevance of new software tools for platform development.
  • Making commitments to overall deliverables with customers and/or management.
  • Undertaking other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

    • 5+ years of experience in building distributed systems with high availability, scalability, and resilience. 
    • An advanced understanding of processes and practices which contribute to the reliability, maintainability, security, simplicity, performance, and testability of software. 
    • Demonstrated success in defining and implementing software refactoring improvements. 
    • Deep knowledge of maintaining and debugging live software systems. Proactively engage in the remediation of software issues related to code or solutions quality, security, and/or pattern/frameworks and software usability or end user-related issues. 
    • Deep understanding of issues involved in delivering, deploying, and supporting an integrated suite of products. 
    • Ability to grasp new areas and adapt to changes. 
    • Proficient in Visual Basic .NET (Windows Forms applications) 
    • Proficient in Visual Studio IDE. 
    • Proficient in Windows protocols (RDP) and debugging 
    • Proficient in Database technologies. Preference for MySQL. 
    • Experience with PHP and PHP frameworks is also preferred. 
    • Experience with the AWS Cloud Ecosystem 
    • Knowledge and experience working in the payments industry, specifically Stripe, preferred.

Salary Range Disclosure

The base range represents the low and high end of the Togetherwork salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Togetherwork's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include discretionary bonuses, long term incentives, a flexible paid vacation/personal time policy, 6 weeks paid parental leave and more.
