Account Management:

For specifically assigned accounts and/or groups of accounts, undertake the complete accounts receivable cycle, including:

  • The preparation and delivery of monthly and annual statements, as required
  • Process and oversee inwards funds received by various means (including checks, cash, credit card, direct credit and direct debit), and allocate on an accurate and timely basis
  • Process and oversee posting of daily and annual billing
  • Processing refunds as needed
  • Maintaining client files
  • Providing customer service for synagogue and congregant requests & transactions
  • Providing ad-hoc and scheduled reports as needed
  • Research bank reconciliation discrepancies
  • Sending daily deposit reports
  • Maintaining charge types in ShulCloud
  • Setting up one-time payments and recurring payment plans
  • Sync daily data from ShulCloud to QuickBooks file

Teamwork:

  1. Interface with Account Managers and other Kesef departments as needed
  2. Oversee data entry staff
  3. Undertake other tasks and/or projects, as required to support the wider Kesef Team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associates Degree or 3 – 4 years of work experience in an office environment
  • Ability to see and to hear telephone calls
  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of options in varying situations
  • Operating standard office equipment – computer, printer, fax, calculator
  • Must have excellent customer service approach to clients and customers
  • Must be able to deal effectively with all types of individuals.
  • Multi-tasking experience – juggle multiple clients
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Basic – Intermediate Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including telephone etiquette
  • Positive attitude towards learning new skills and systems

Preferred, but not required

  • A/R experience
  • Bookkeeping experience
  • Synagogue knowledge and experience
  • ShulCloud experience

Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve complex results.  Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to client, customer and company.
