About the job

This position is needed to needed to manage complex projects driving legal M&A integration. As part of the Corporate Legal team leading M&A integration projects, you are at the forefront of helping Twilio Legal drive fast-moving strategic priorities, critical deadlines and overcoming operational challenges, which will be key to the team in ensuring the success of future integrations. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help build and flex Twilio’s M&A integration muscle.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Build relationships with internal teams and maintain communication channels with legal and non-legal stakeholders regarding M&A integration.
  • Partner across legal and business teams to smoothly transition acquired company policies and procedures. Identify and remove potential roadblocks, diffuse issues as they arise, or escalate to the appropriate stakeholders for resolution.
  • Manage and track complex projects and processes.
  • Bring a desire to lead teams and projects.
  • Coordinate and manage legal integration projects, including: creating and maintaining legal integration dashboards, project plans, presentation materials and integration planning reports.
  • Generate and present status reports to Twilio’s Integration Management Office on behalf of the Legal team, for each integration project.
  • Assist with and prepare integration budgets for teams within Legal.
  • Coordinate legal entity consolidation projects, including managing outside counsel, creating and maintaining status trackers and liaising with members of the Corporate Legal, Tax and Finance teams.
  • Understand and recognize areas of legal functional integration, discuss legal practice areas and operational concerns, and engage with legal and cross-functional managers.
  • Run retrospective analyses to improve documentation and processes.

Required:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex projects and/or relevant legal M&A integration experience, preferably at a leading technology company.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Think strategically as a natural problem-solver. You are comfortable with ambiguity, able to quickly tease through complexity and bring structure to chaos.
  • Effectively identify and articulate implications up and downstream, taking action or escalating as appropriate.
  • Communicate and provide clear materials with actionable recommendations and synthesis.
  • Listen and naturally codify and write things down.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize workflow with minimal supervision.
  • Be highly collaborative, and partner-oriented professionally. Your team-first attitude enables you to easily and effectively work across teams and cross-functionally.
  • Work well under time pressure and tight deadlines and strong results orientation and customer focus.

Desired:

  • Experience working in a legal department or at a law firm, preferably in M&A.
  • Experience with project management software, including AirTable, RAID logs, budgeting systems.

Location 

This role will be remote, and based in USA.

Approximately 0% travel is anticipated.

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $105,728.00 - $166,144.00
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
