Twilio is growing rapidly and seeking a Partner Development Manager to be a key leader in the evaluation and execution of inorganic growth opportunities for Twilio globally. 

Would you like to help shape the future of Technology Partners at Twilio?  We are seeking an exceptional and passionate Partner Development Manager to join our Global BD organization. This individual will help drive long-term initiative goals by managing and growing Twilio’s most strategic partnerships. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate your business acumen, have a bias towards action,  have a passion for channel sales, and  are known for rolling up your sleeves to get the job done.

Who?

  • 5+ years of experience in sales or partner management within the cloud industry, contact center experience a plus
  • Experience developing pipelines, forecasts, and executing with internal and external sales teams to meet and exceed targets
  • Escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management
  • Ability to execute growth efforts, including account management, to accelerate revenue growth in a partnership
  • Demonstrate ability to develop strong consultative relationships with external partners and internal cross-functional teams at all levels
  • Adept in leading and managing without formal authority and bias to action within ambiguous and fast-paced environments
  • Bring data driven methodology and quantitative analytical skills
  • Highly collaborative, and partner-oriented professionally
  • Strong bias to action and excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • A bachelor’s degree and prior work related experience or equivalent

  • BE AN OWNER: Define, design, launch, and run strategic initiatives that contribute to our go-to-market plan; lead strategic partnerships, communicating proposals and updates to senior leadership
  • BE BOLD: Lead efforts to scale the execution of partner activities and market growth strategies by building relationships and processes that reach across all geos, territories, and channels, with the goal of driving revenue growth 
  • WEAR THE CUSTOMER'S SHOES: Create a strong partnership with sales, ensuring they are well-equipped with the content, training, knowledge of available resources, and core curriculum necessary to effectively sell Twilio 
  • DON'T SETTLE: Be responsible for building a strategic business development plan that defines priorities, ensuring it is well aligned across Twilio  and executing the plan while working with key internal and external stakeholders

Partner Development Manager - Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop forecast and meet and/or exceed annual revenue forecasts for partners 
  • Manage the inbound lead requests from the Twilio field org and partners 
  • Optimize and improve existing resell process while defining new processes to drive incremental revenue
  • Be the source of truth for the field org globally (Direct & ISVs) and their one-stop-shop for partners 
  • Create scalable enablement materials to keep up with Twilio’s rapid growth 
  • Facilitate relationships between Twilio’s field org and a partner’s field org 
  • Advocate for a bigger seat at the table for partners including speaking slots at SIGNAL, MDFs, & Twilio executive buy-in
  • Build key internal relationships with sales leaders across the globe 
  • In collaboration with PMM, drive GTM activities for partners that highlight a better together story to highlight a customer’s success using Twilio + a partner’s solution
