The Who, What, Where and Why

Twilio’s Sales organization is growing at a rapid pace, meaning an increased need for Sales Enablement to educate, train, and empower Sales reps to efficiently win more business. As the Growth Sales Trainer and Coach, you will work closely with Sales and Enablement leadership and partner with a team of cross-functional enablement team members to drive continuous development for our Sales team. As a member of the Enablement team, you will play a major role in coaching our reps and just in time enablement to assist in making it easier for them to succeed in their roles and meet their goals!

Who?

In order to be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has:

  • 5+ years in technology sales
  • 3+ years in sales enablement
  • Direct experience training sales professionals (facilitation certification is a plus)
  • Proficient in Sales Coaching (Certified Miller Heiman or other recognized certification)
  • Act as a consultant, providing advice and strategies in their sales pursuits and customer engagement.
  • Strong program management skills and experience in bringing a cross-functional group together to accomplish a shared goal
  • Ability to stay organized, work in a fast paced environment, and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with Google Suite and project management tools like Airtable
  • Strong verbal & written communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working in a fast-growing enterprise company, and the confidence & executive presence to get things done when a playbook doesn’t exist
  • Build coaching guides for sales management in partnership with Sales Manager Development Leader.

  • EMPOWER OTHERS: Partner with sales representatives and sales leaders from the Growth Sales Team and build a personal relationship to act as consultant to assist them in up-levelling their sales skills.
  • RUTHLESSLY PRIORITIZE: Workwith the Growth Sales Leaders and Enablement business partners to understand and identify how to prioritize any individual sales coaching needs.
  • BE AN OWNER: Gain deep understanding of the Growth GTM strategy and how they win deals.
  • DRAW THE OWL: Design a program that is complementary to any quarterly enablement or initiatives and is blended into the growth enablement strategy.
  • Regular communication with all business partners to keep them informed of all ongoing and upcoming programs for the field.
  • BE INCLUSIVE: Partner with Growth Enablement Business Partner, Growth Sales Leadership and Snr. Director of Onboarding to help work on the dedicated track for Growth Sales Reps onboarding to fast track role specific needs.
  • WRITE IT DOWN: Regular Reporting on key landmarks and critical metrics by individual/teams.
