Because you belong at Twilio

The Who, What, Why and Where

Twilio is looking for a Senior Web Designer (Contract) to join the Brand Experience team in Marketing. You’re joining the multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers who produce a website that thousands of people experience every day.

You are an experienced designer with expertise in web and digital projects. You have a strong eye for detail and a working knowledge of design systems, how to build them, prioritize them, and design with efficient global systems in mind. You have the ability to adapt to our existing design patterns, using those patterns to redesign pages, and helping us hone and extend our pattern library as needed. You’re someone who excels in establishing good hierarchy of content, distilling complex messages into diagrams and icons, and understanding the complexities of responsive web design.

As a Senior Web Designer you will:

  • Conceive and design new web pages, sections, pieces and modules and otherwise in alignment with brand guidelines and evolving standards.
  • Create visual interfaces for new websites and enhancements to existing ones, with a focus on optimizing user experience and intuitive navigation.
  • Recommend changes and redesigns for existing properties to improve look, usability, and performance where opportunities present themselves.
  • Apply updated design elements cohesively across multiple web properties and contribute to a scalable and efficient design system
  • Use web design best practices and next-generation digital trends while maintaining a user centered design focus.

Your core responsibility is to reflect the brand team’s design priorities of quality and craftsmanship onto Twilio’s main web presence. The work you do is intricate and strategic - not only will it help to strengthen trust and establish consistency for the Twilio brand, but it will help build the foundational system that we use to design web experiences in the future.

Twilio is a company that is empowering the world’s developers with modern communication in order to build better applications. Twilio is truly unique; we are a company committed to your growth, your learning, your development, and your entire employee experience. We only win when our employees succeed and we're dedicated to helping you develop your strengths. We have a cultural foundation built on diversity, inclusion, and innovation and we want you and your ideas to thrive at Twilio.

While working remote, you will still enjoy our incredible perks: monthly Kindle book reimbursement, monthly gym reimbursement, unlimited PTO, monthly All Hands and more. What you will also get to experience is a company that believes in small teams for maximum impact; that strives to balance work and home life, that understands that this is a marathon, not a sprint; that continuously and purposefully builds an inclusive culture where everyone is able to do and be the best version of themselves. We seek people who naturally demonstrate our values, who are challenged by problems, empower others to thrive, people who can draw the owl and not be beholden to one playbook.
