Twilio is growing rapidly and seeking a Full-Stack Javascript Engineer to deliver support experiences on Flex, our programmable contact center solution.  We are seeking a software engineer with strong computer science fundamentals and looking for a creative problem solver and proactive tinkerer to reinvent the agent and customer experience at scale. In this role, you will work closely with our engineering and product team to create world-class support experiences that showcase the value of Twilio products for our customers.


We are looking for a versatile engineer who can help push our services teams to the next level by providing powerful tools, automation and insights that improve their productivity.  You are:

  • Product focused, and take pride and ownership of user interfaces that will create a frictionless experience for Twilio employees and customers.
  • Customer-focused and have empathy for our users’ needs and businesses enabled by the Twilio platform.
  • Versatile, ready to learn and execute across the stack from front-end and UX to back-end and databases, from low-level optimizations and debugging to architecture and system design, from slinging code to operations and assuring the quality of your work.
  • Passionate about modern web application development, familiar with established industry standards, and curious about new frameworks and technologies.
  • Technically savvy and preferably have experience with cloud computing (AWS), APIs, communications, enterprise software, and/or cross-channel systems.
  • Knowledgeable and opionated about the design of REST APIs
  • Strong computer science fundamentals and familiarity with Javascript full-stack development.  Familiarity with NodeJS is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in building front-end Web user experiences, preferably using frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

  • DRAW THE OWL:  Identify new approaches from internal and external sources, and experiment to deliver software that moves the needle on our business metrics using data to drive decision-making.  
  • EMPOWER OTHERS: You are comfortable working in high-performing, self-organizing teams and trust yourself and others to get the job done on time and on quality.  You embrace agile development and working in a distributed team.

Services Engineering team is a growing engineering team in the Go To Market (GTM) organization with an expanded charter to serve the needs of our Customer Support, Success, and Professional Services organizations.   You will help us deliver the reference implementation of Flex at Twilio that serves as the communications backbone for all customer interactions across the end-to-end customer journey, and provide tools to empower our service teams and drive our customers’ success.
