The Who, What, Where and Why
Twilio is looking for a Sales Director to lead our expanding Emerging Markets team. The right person for this role is a go-getter, who wants to develop and identify new revenue opportunities with new enterprise logos in the CEE, MEA and MED (excluding Italy and Spain) regions.
You should feel comfortable with selling a platform or SaaS, but if you have experience with Contact Centers, Messaging, Call Tracking and other communication solutions even better!
You have experience in opening new markets, setting up partnership, building teams, managing all monthly forecasting, and can support fiscal planning and revenue tracking for what is a complex multi-cultural region.
This person will have a solid track record of selling into all or some of the regions above and have cultural sensitivity for each of the very different regions.
You should have experience of managing (remote) teams and working as part of a pan-EMEA leadership team.
Collaborate with your team and internal cross-functional teams, to get the support required to open up markets and sell to the first customers in a country.
Have an understanding of the complex Regulatory and Partner landscape in each of the regions.
You talk with potential strategic customers, where you spend time learning about their needs, and then through consultation, develop a strategic plan to help their service thrive through the use of Twilio’s communication platform.
You expertly forecast your team overachieving on their goals, and deftly present your guidance to the EMEA VP.
This position can be located in any of our Regional ‘hub’ office in London, Munich, Dublin, Berlin or Paris. The Emerging Markets team is a strategic component to our go-to-market strategy. The team is responsible for opening new markets for Twilio and establishing ‘beach head’ customers and partnership and will work closely with our ‘Super Network’ team to establish the local Regulatory agreements to allow Twilio to deliver its services in a resilient and compliant manner.
