TuSimple is a self-driving technology company with a mission to bring automation to the trucking industry. Machine learning plays a critical role in the mission. At TuSimple, we applied machine learning technologies in all our software modules, and this role is about machine learning in planning.
We are building a team of around 10 members to leverage the large scale data to support our next generation planning system. We are hiring a director for this team. Roughly speaking, the team covers the following 3 areas:
Road agent behavior prediction
Plannar decision making models
Prediction and Planning benchmark and measurement
Example projects include:
Modeling the interaction between the truck and other road agents and predicting for the negotiated outcome
Developing cutting edge modeling technologies such as RL, IRL, Imitation learning in various planning problems
Building benchmarks to quantify the prediction and planning performance
What You'll Do:
Drive the technical direction of the team
Design the machine learning architecture (both online and offline) for prediction and planning
Hiring and growing the team
Providing career guidance and people management to team members
What You'll Bring:
3+ years of management experience
Experience in designing and building machine learning/deep learning systems
Solid knowledge in deep learning topics including but not limited to CNN, RNN, Encoder-Decoder, GraphNN
Experience in designing and implementing benchmarking systems to characterize complex, real-world problems
