Opportunity Overview
Overseeing our Investor Relations program, TuSimple’s Senior Director, Investor Relations partners with the Executive team to develop the program’’s vision and strategy and ensures successful execution of the comprehensive IR plan.
Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Director, Investor Relations builds relationships with the investment community, communicates the organization's strategies and actions, maximizes the pool of potential investors, and ensures that the organization's shares are accurately valued in the market.
As the “go-to” for investors, the incumbent is responsible for fostering and maintaining strong relationships with both sell-side and buy-side analyst communities (including equity and fixed income) and acts as the primary spokesperson for the organization, as it relates to the investor community
Role Responsibilities

Partners with the Executive team to develop and execute TuSimple’s Investor Relations (IR) vision and strategy. Designs and implements the framework and roadmap to deliver upon the IR strategy, including establishing and coordinating the investor relations calendar and conference, as well as non-deal roadshow schedules and logistics.

Develops and shares capital markets updates and insights to leadership including valuation trends, investor perspectives, and communication best practices.

Establishes, builds, and maintains relationships with institutional investors, sell-side analysts and individual investors to grow investor confidence and raise organizational value and marketability. Provides regular and comprehensive communications giving perspective on Organizational strategy and operating performance. Builds and maintains strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Partners with the Executive team to develop the investor targeting strategy. Determines optimum type and mix of shareholders through research, prioritization and building a pipeline of new investors.

Partners with Marketing to develop and evolve a consistent, compelling, and differentiated Organizational narrative, which appeals to the Investor Community. Crafts clear messages in support of the Organizational brand into all investor-facing communications, including press releases, investor and/or roadshow presentations, annual reports, earnings releases, the IR section of the Organization’s website, and any other investor relations communications and materials.

Oversees the creation and implementation of TuSimple’s annual Analyst Day, including: working with the Executive team to set the objective, partnering with Marketing, Legal, Finance and Accounting to prepare all investor materials, coordinating all aspects of the event (scheduling, invitations, venue, meals,sound, etc/), ensures all speakers are thoroughly media trained and prepared for Q&A and monitoring investor activity post Analyst Day.

Coordinates and participated with Senior leadership to attend investor, industry and research analysts conferences. Leads investor roadshows, direct investor meetings, and earnings conference calls. 8. Acts as the primary day-to-day voice of the company to analysts and investors, leveraging senior management’s time for the most impactful conversations or important events and relationships.

Consistently monitors analyst reports, financial trends, competitor behavior, stock performance, investor sentiment and activity, and market conditions. Develops and maintains a deep understanding of the Organization’s operations and products. Anticipated market reactions to proposed transactions and operating results. Provides regular updates to the Executive team, the Board of Directors and the Board of Advisors.
Experience & Skills Required

10 years of experience in Finance

3 years experience in Investor Relations related roles

2 years experience working in an international, matrixed company, managing a team

Demonstrated ability to translate a company’s operational results and decisions into an investor-friendly narrative

Distinguished ability to quickly build trust and rapport with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Strongly established and wide-ranging relationships within the investor community.

Ability to create and analyze financial models to analyze company performance relative to analyst and investor models and to effectively position the Organization among its competitors.

Superior analytical and decision making skills with well-established understanding of the market implication of business decisions.

Superior oral communication and presentation skills. Able to confidently present to the C-suite, the Board of Advisors and the Board of Directors,investors/potential investors, sell-side analysts, brokers, and outside partners. Able to hold "one-on-one" meetings with investors/analysts and successfully represent the Organization at investor meetings/conferences.

Demonstrated writing and editing excellence; crafting internal and external materials and correspondence, as well as deep understanding of writing for the investor community.

Experience developing strategic plans which take complex technology and translates it into compelling narratives for the investor community.
