Opportunity Overview 

The Director/VP of Field Test  Operations is responsible for the active, structured verification and validation of the TuSimple Solution. The role is responsible for leading field testing, including design and execution of structured tests, planning and scheduling of missions, approval of missions considering safety and efficacy, managing human and capital resources, and reporting to senior leadership on the progress and status of the TuSimple solution.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in an automotive or robotics discipline
  • Experience leading automotive verification/validation programs
  • Group-level management experience
  • Experience in automotive operational safety
  • 10 years of industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop a requirements-driven verification and validation program sufficient to fully test the TuSimple system.
  • Lead the acquisition and management of testing resources
  • Management of the field test team
  • Resource planning and scheduling to meet customer demand for testing
  • Evaluation and approval of test missions for safety
  • Regular reporting on all aspects of the testing program to executive management
