At TuSimple we are looking for a Mechanical Designer to join our team as we realize our goal of a L4 autonomous trucking solution. This role will require you to design elements for mounting sensors; documenting system integration; designing electronic packaging for autonomous vehicle systems. You will also be responsible for technical documentation and communication with all engineering teams and project managers.
CAD Modeling using SolidWorks
CAD Drawings using SolidWorks
Design and document special projects
Create and Maintain physical system integration interfaces
Create and check BOMs
Skills and Qualifications
10+ years in Mechanical Design
Understanding of ASME standards
Experience with design reviews and drawing checks
Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely across departments
Work with world class AI Engineers
Shape the landscape of autonomous driving
