About the job: 

As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in navigating ambiguity and supporting senior leadership to optimize overall business goals. Your proficiency in Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, and Machine Learning will be instrumental in creating substantial business value. 

You’ll utilize your seasoned expertise to lead high-performing teams, with a successful track record of managing 15+ members, preferably more. Prior experience in a data science consulting firm is advantageous, contributing to the development of a function offering consultative guidance to client leadership.

In addition to external client interactions, you will spearhead internal R&D initiatives. This involves creating various products and POCs that showcase our expertise in ML/Data Science to clients. You need to have strong enthusiasm for these client-facing activities even if you haven’t done them before, since those will be some of the key responsibilities of the role.

Furthermore, you'll be actively engaged in internal R&D projects related to our core technology, focusing on developer recommendations, data science for growth efforts, and the advancement of our generative AI applications.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or other relevant engineering discipline from a reputed university, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of Data Science experience and at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role demonstrating a high level of ownership and responsibility.
  • Should have managed data science teams of minimum 15+ in size, more the better.  
  • Experience with technical innovation within cross-functional engineering environments.
  • Experience growing and scaling teams, and motivating others by creating a shared sense of purpose.

 

Must Have: 

  • Strong expertise with data analytics and  business analytics.
  • Experience solving problems for various business divisions. 
  • Experience managing companies along an ML/data roadmap from ground zero even when  they  have no clear data strategy or data logging in place. 
  • Planning and successfully executing a strategy involving appropriate building of data products, logging the right data, acquiring the data or running a data labeling process.
  • Expertise with ML/MLOps in both predictive modeling as well as modern techniques.

Nice to have:

  • Drive technical pre-sales activities by leading client discovery, proposals, and proof-of-concepts. 
  • Assess client needs for scoping, cultivate relationships, and create reusable assets to expedite pre-sales and delivery.
