Protect Earth's Subcultures
As the Marketing Partnerships Manager, you'll work to create and execute dynamic strategy to drive user growth and retention in partnership with entertainment brands, media companies, and other partners. You'll also advise those partners on their content strategy, helping them with large-scale integrations that include original, exclusive content on Tumblr.
Identify media personalities, showrunners, writers, producers, news outlets, etc. who want to do cool things with Tumblr.
Create RFPs, pitches, treatments, budgets, project schedules and distribution plans
Educate partners about our platform and community, and create opportunities for us to work together.
Highly detailed, organized and excellent at project management
Ability to hit the ground running and thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment
Coordinate with teams across Tumblr and Oath—Business Development, Legal, Marketing—to design new programs, negotiate contracts, and facilitate cross-brand deals.
Proven industry experience
You have 8-12 years of experience (maybe more) in entertainment, business development, sponsorships, or marketing for media companies.
You have a strong rolodex in TV and Film
You understand the motivations and objectives of potential media partners so you can recommend programs that make sense for the industry—and help execute them.
You know the digital media landscape. You understand Tumblr's competitive advantages, and you keep up with emerging platforms.
You are poised and professional—and doubly so when presenting to clients.
You're motivated to negotiate and close new business opportunities, and able to juggle multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
