About the Role:
We are looking for a Lead Android Engineer to build new features and improve on our Android app that has 50+ million downloads, and a 4.7+ rating on play store. Any experience working on consumer facing applications, and providing technical leadership is very sought after for this role.
Manage and run an Android engineering team (5+ engineers)
Run day-to-day android development and cross-team collaboration
Drive and lead feature planning: be able to build and manage Android road-map
Be able to take care of the Android team: all team members should stay happy and productive
Start to push our Android development technology to another level
8+ years industry working experience with, at least 5 years experience with Android
Expert knowledge of Android development, and rich experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs.
Hands on coding skills with Kotlin and/or Java
Experience driving projects, technical initiatives and day-to-day development
Experience providing mentorship to a large team
Experience working closely with product and design
Nice to have:
Experience with Android TV and/or Fire TV development is a plus
Experience with test driven development and cross platform automation testing
Experience with ExoPlayer and client video streaming technologies
Experience with A/B testing
Experience with CI/CD tools
Proven ability and experience to lead an engineer team is a plus
Ability to drive and prioritize a broad range of product initiatives
