As the Head of Delivery, you'd be able to work on and solve some of the many interesting challenges we are facing, learn new ways of working, and build delightful high-quality products for our customers.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

The Head of Delivery acts as the point of contact for a broad set of stakeholders and ensures that the technology department meets both the business and technology objectives.  The role has the following functions reporting into it:

 

  • Delivery: a team of scrum masters led by the Chief Scrum Master and close partnership with the Coaches
  • Business Analysis: a team supporting the business in scoping and defining products and experiences.
  • Quality Engineering: a team focused on test automation of customer journeys
  • Performance: a team supporting the technology teams in technology strategy, vendor, and budget management
  • Note: The above functions report in from a blended geographic location with teams spread across Singapore, India, Vietnam, Australia, China and Malaysia.

 

Other responsibilities include:

 

  • Providing a strategic mindset, with strong understanding of business priorities, operational realities, and technology capabilities. Able to “translate across” business, technology and enablement functions, and work with product owners and business SMEs
  • Define and refine ways of working for the bank aligning the business and technology teams to deliver products in a high quality and risk aware manner.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills to influence decisions across multiple products, technology, and operations teams.
  • Define and manage the technology budget of USD $75-80 Million aligned to the annual corporate budgeting cycle
  • Lead the vendor management aspect for all technology related vendors.
  • Working with the other teams within technology, define the technology strategy and align to the product roadmap.
  • Support the CIO for board and executive paper submissions.
  • Lead a team of quality engineers to define and implementation strategy and deliver quality software outcomes for our customers.
  • Lead a team of business analysts to scope and refine the customer and product requirements
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk and compliance matters together with Line 1 and Line 2 risk teams.
  • Be a creative problem-solver with good multi-tasking skills, able to prioritise issues and resolve them efficiently with flexibility and responsiveness to changing priorities

  

In order to be successful at the role, you must have the following:

 

  • 10+ years in a similar role within a complex operating environment (Banking, Finance, Telecoms)
  • Experience as a change agent able to drive and influence an agile organisation.
  • Positive and energetic work attitude.
  • Well-organized and disciplined, but also adaptable approach to work.
  • Able to multi-task and manage numerous deliverables effectively.
  • Working independently with minimal guidance whenever necessary.
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Experience building communities of practice
  • Strategic mindset

 

Role Specific Technical Competencies

 

  • Banking experience preferred and/or experience within a new product development environment.
  • Understanding of the practices of cloud and/or DevOps
  • Experience in driving software quality and embedding into agile teams.
